I have been working as a film producer for over 13 years. I have worked on projects in the US, Israel, Thailand, and Russia. I have worked in various capacities - creating projects of my own, supervising production as a hired producer, and consulting.
Most recently, I served as an associate producer of a feature documentary Oleg.
I was in charge of research, clearances, and consulting on the matters of Soviet and Russian history and culture matters.
The film follows the life of the “Robert Redford of Russia,” a Soviet superstar actor, Oleg Vidov, who escaped the Soviet regime after being blacklisted. I felt personally connected to the story of a Russian immigrant who left Russia because it was choking him creatively. I saw myself in him. It was a unique opportunity and a true honor for me to help an American creative team to see and understand Russia and Russians.
